Day 5 - they think it's all over
Day 4 - Rain, the Rhine and Rubbish sat nav
Day 3 - morning Belgium, daytime Luxembourg, evening Germany
Day 2 - absolutely ruined
Day 1 - and not a pedal pushed yet...
A 6.30am departure from the STG offices in Castleford to the echoing call of “everyone got their passport?” from Andy “Evans” Watson. Ah – no. Not Ryan “Syrup” Tilford. Sharp detour for the missing passport then on the road south for two minibuses loaded with cyclists and support crew, and a van loaded with some extremely expensive bikes.
Builders Gear up for Charity Cycle ChallengeAn intrepid team of directors, quantity surveyors, accountants and contracts managers from award winning, building contractor, Strategic Team Group, are gearing up to take part in the firm’s 10 City Cycle Challenge in a bid to raise over £30,000 for the Prince of Wales Hospice in Pontefract, Yorkshire to mark the firm’s 10th anniversary.Read more...
Builders get on their bikes for hospice cyclothonCycling enthusiasts from Castleford based property solutions company, Strategic Team Group, took part in The Prince of Wales Hospice annual Cyclothon on Sunday 16th May 2010 in Pontefract, the firm’s chosen charity for the next two years. A team of nine cyclists from the firm took part in the Cyclothon, using it as a training session as they gear up for the firm’s mammoth 10 City Cycle Challenge next month, when they will be aiming to raise over £30,000 for the charity. The challenge will see teams setting off from Leeds on the 14thJune 2010 and pedaling through some of the most scenic cycle routes in Europe, passing through ten cities in the UK, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany, with each team racking up approximately 600 miles.Read more...
